She did not leave yet. People forget things all the time. I forget things about half of the time when I go shopping

Hmm, I'm conflicted. Do we not trust you because of your own conflict of interest, or because you're a lawyer?

Either way, y'all really think she's going to risk her bar license to steal a couple pieces of meat from Calandros?

Pay tons of money for advertising, or claim fake racism with an easily manufactured story and guarantee to drum up some business?

I have to say, Her FB doesn't look like the type who would be out for personal gain from a mistake.

Even though, at that point where she was in her shopping, she wasn't technically stealing- she was. Who brings another store's bag to put groceries in BEFORE they even check out? She knew exactly what to say.

Austin has a plastic bag ban so this is actually very common here.

I could understand it being more suspicious in other locales.

Regardless of her race, if it happened the way she described, then that's messed up.

Agreed.

Also, to her credit, she didn't seem to make any claims of racism or anything racially motivated.

Scandalous levels of black criminality has all kind of negative consequences for law abiding black citizens. In a perfect world their would be neither insanely high levels of Black criminality or white over reaction to said criminality. Wake me up when we get there.

I agree it's screwed up. But, it's not like someone from the family did this. It was some minimum wage rent-a-cop. After firing the employee and apologizing to the lady, this should have been over instead of makibg it out like everyone associated with the business is some awful racist.

I'm pretty positive I have seen black cashiers at Calandros before.

I and highly doubt 'will call the cops who will beat you was ever uttered.

Me too, but then I make sure to hold the unpaid for items completely separate and apart from the paid for items.

When you go shopping, do you put things in your pocket before you go to the register?

Yes. Wonderful marketing. Risk getting arrested and losing your license just for some free advertisement. LOL

Early 90s security at national canal villere in Slidell was fun to be around. Worked there high school. Security would let us help catch shoplifters. Detain them and belittle the shite out them in the back as we waited on the police to arrive and haul them off to jail. The good ole days
