Best decision of my life. My wife and I packed up right after college and moved to Phoenix from Baton Rouge.

It was 2 years when I was hired as a travel nurse.

You really need to be independent as a nurse as a traveler cause you basically get 1 shift of orientation and then you are on your own with a full assignment.

I did it within the states immediately after graduating college. Took a train to NY with a cardboard box worth of stuff. I had no plan and 10 days later 9/11 happened. Did it again within the states for a girl I'd been dating 10 months. She's now my wife and best friend. Did it again to the other side of the world. Every time has been nothing but positive. There's been excitement, adventure, fear, struggle, and growth. I'm of the opinion that the setup of modern life is the cause for a lot of inner suffering. We aren't meant to settle in.

I moved to San Francisco before the graduation ceremony. I knew I could never afford to live there, so I may as well do it while I'm accustomed to not having money. I was correct in that, I can not afford to live there. Spent two glorious years out there and will never regret it.

Planning a California road trip now, but this time we're exploring the east side.

This is something I'm going to do but I'm at a different stage in life than you. I plan to retire in the next 6-8 years and we will sell everything and relocate. The only items that will get moved are personal items like photos, etc.

If my kids can find me they are welcome to come and visit.

Sounds awesome. Y'all gonna be like those couples on House Hunters International retiring in Ecuador or Costa Rica?

I did the same thing myself and came here to DC. It wound up being one of the best decisions I've ever made. Do it before you get tied down.

And bankrupt and ridiculously expensive to live there. I'd say there's a line between being open minded to ideas, and being retarded and not learning from your mistakes your open mind created in your financial woes. a lot better more open minded places than there.
