People here don't know how to drive when it's sunny and 78 degrees.
Friday is the worse day of traffic so I'm all for places shutting down early to lessen the load at 5:00 pm.

you do realize that north of us they are expected to get some right? Just because BR itself may not get it doesn't mean places near BR won't and I can only speak for my work but we have people that commute from Laffy to Hammond and Mississippi to almost Thibidoux.

You sound mad.
1) There's a national weather advisory
2) Five months ago what some thought was a heavy rain storm turned into one of states worst disasters ever (meaning weather is unpredictable)
3) Less than three years ago we had what some thought would be just cold weather turn into a pretty bad freeze that shut all roads down
So there's precedent and multiple data points. But yes, I know it might not be that bad. But the decision is understandable.

So deal with those on an individual basis. Don't shut down entire offices of people because Sally has to drive to McComb.

ATL schools and colleges are closing at 12 today and the governor and ATL mayor have said by 1pm road restrictions will begin from the GSP and DMV to extend until Sunday.
They want to avoid what happened several years back when the north 285 perimeter was shut down for 3 days stranding thousands of motorist.

And our meteorologists are retarded because our own instincts predict this shite better than them and their data. For me at least.

As reasonable as that would seem, it's not how government offices work.

Why do you care that I care?
Posted on 1/6/17 at 11:59 am to DrEdgeLSU
Because you seem pretty upset about it but I'm sure you will deny it now
