Worked for a desktop support company here in BR. We had a hurricane heading toward the area and checked on our clients. Made sure everyone had backups and plans in place. For most the plan was to shut down - raise things up off the floor in case of flooding, and generally protect things. After th...

I am late to the thread, but I just want to add...
I feel like my life is a series of forward and backward steps, and at any point I can fall behind.
EVERYBODY feels like this at different points in their life - but you have to develop the strength to keep going. One of my ...

Start at W3schools [link=(https://www.w3schools.com/)]W3Schools[/link] You should be able to figure it out. Will the web guy give you the HTML? What's the difference in your time to figure it out and the cost to have them give you a dummy interface? ...
There was a story a long time ago about guys passing countefiet 100's off and they were very successful...so they did the obvious thing (in their mind) and went to Vegas. News story said the cashier didn't even look at the bill - it "felt" wrong and he buzzed security. Pro Tip - Don't pass cou...
I developed a similar program for an attorney friend many years ago. You can do this fairly easily using a Microsoft Office tools plugin. It will allow you to create some template documents with placeholders for keywords in your database. For example, you create your document as "Dear ##First_...

We did a golf cart tour in Rome. Craziest thing I have ever done in my life... That mofo was whipping that cart in and out of traffice like an F1 driver, waving a shouting at people in Italian....and I was in the back, so - facing backward! Turned out great because we were able to hit a...
Had a PSYC class with him and it was Mike Archer's first year. Professor asked him one day if practices were intense because Archer was trying to make a mark. Hodson said "I don't know - they don't hit ME". He was a good dude - let him wave and get some applause. That's all I got. ...
It's a pie in the sky dream - if you increase the minimum wage, then minimum prices for EVERYTHING will increase. If the worker now make $25/hour to make my hamburger - My hamburger will now cost like $10 so that the company can still profit. Hence no real world gain for anybody. Workers mak...

I had flown back from a work assignment in Manchester, England the day before. Got up and went to work and watched everything as it was happening. Communications were out for a while - so the guys in England were scrambling trying to figure out my flight details to see if I was OK. ...
The memory card may be corrupt. Don't try to store NEW pics on the card, you are probably overwriting what you are trying to recover and you will those files non-recoverable. I considered getting a Frame. Went by Best Buy to look - salesman showed me the frame vs Samsungs other offerings. Frame wasn’t as bright or as sharp. The other Samsungs will do the picture display - they just lack the motion sensor feature that the Frame has. I got the QN85 which I’m very ...

I have only ever sent stuff to Drive Savers... So I have no experience with others. I don't know of anyone locally. I am an IT guy - but no expertise in data recovery from a USB. I have had luck using my Mac for clients/friends when a PC won't read. Sometimes a different machine will read it... ...
