That's actually one thing that draws me to the BB. I like how clean the dial is.

Were you looking for a Speedy Pro? If so, you can't call an auto Speedy a Pro. It would just be a Speedmaster. Pro means manual wind as that is what was used on the Apollo mission.

This is the closest I could find LINK

Maybe I'm not looking correctly, though.

Figure this is a decent place to post. Where's a good site for leather bands? I've gone to local jewelry stores and they don't really have the greatest options except for ordering out of a catalog. The ones they have for my watch were like $500 and I wear the crap out of them, so I'm not doing that. Figure I could do that myself. Not much of a good picture for the band, but I'm looking for pretty much this exact color/style band 20mm

You want a nice alligator band it's going to cost you.

Hirsch

You'll see that calf skin is 1/10 the price of gator.

Last time I talked to someone about their Rolex they told me it was a 'kinetic'. I laughed and said it was nice. I wanted to tell them it was called an automatic, but it would have been lost on them anyway.

I've had my ROLEX for ten years. Wear it everyday. Never had a problem.

It's a classic Oyster Perpetual DateJust, Gold and Silver with a black pinstripe face and Jubilee band. It's a man's watch that is good for all occasions.

Very similar to this but with a black pinstripe face and without the numbers on the face.

Check this one out. Much cheaper than Hirsch. I have an ostrich from panatime and I really like it.

Love all the answers you're getting to questions you didn't ask. Don't listen to all the haters. It's your money and you should spend it on the things that sing to you, whether that's art, cars, watches, boats, guns, women, etc, etc.

Also getting a chuckle from the "experts" talking about in-house movements who haven't read a watch magazine or website in 5 years.

As noted, check out the sales corners on Timezone, Watchuseek, The Rolex Forum. I have had great experiences buying from established sellers on all of them. As they always say, buy the seller first, then the watch Also check out the HQ Milton site.

Rolex Air King and Explorer I are both very low key. Navitimer and Speedy are iconic classics. IWC Portuguese line is beautiful and clssic. I own Steinhart Ocean Vintage GMT and Military and love them both. I want a Breitlng Blackbird and a Breguet Type XX/XXI. TAG not getting much love here, but the Carrera reissue is a sharp looking piece.

Good luck in your hunt and whatever you decide enjoy your new watch and wear it in good health!

I'm sorry but anyone who spends 4-5k on a fricking watch needs to have his head examined. Seriously, I could think of million better ways to piss away money. frick. 4-5k? I could buy a nice $300 watch and give $4700 to a family in need, or buy a boat, or a truckload of coke and strippers. Or, you know what? I could just wear 5 thousand dollars on my wrist because I'm an a-hole.

Your post is dumb. $4700 might get you some coke and a couple of strippers, but a whole truckload? That is just silly.

Do you own an overpriced truck? A yeti cooler or tumbler?

People who have this attitude would never have 5k to spend on a watch.

I guess you don't believe in engagement rings either.

You might try a deployment clasp for your leather bands. Not nearly as much stress on the band as with a tang type buckle. They look great, easy to use, and are the preferred buckle on the most expensive watches. A stainless steel or gold-plated deployment buckle can be purchased for about $40-$50.
