Drinking.

I don't have kids but I will let them drink in high school as long as they don't drive.

Don't care if they smoke a little pot but I won't smoke a bowl with my kid.

If he has been driving, smoking pot. Drinking and driving is going to be a shite storm.

likely pot in most situations. Less of a hazard while driving and much less chance of making very poor decisions.

Drinking, cause that's what I did when I was a kid.

I don't want him to OD on marijuana

Probably drinking. I wouldn't be bent out of shape about either. I realize drinking in many ways is worse for you, but I think I'd still worry more about him getting into harder stuff or legal trouble if he was smoking pot in high school. Maybe it's because I have a drink most days myself but hardly ever smoke pot.

Alcohol is not an illegal substance. It might be illegal for a minor to consume it, but it is not illegal itself.

Drinking, because I let my kids drink at home as seniors in HS. I discouraged weed since it is illegal and could get them in more trouble.

you are supposed to be out of town or something and get home before you're "supposed to".

the kid is in the garage or basement with a few friends stoned or drunk.

Drinking. He'd be underage but at least it's not an illegal substance. The later would look worse on a job application.
