Wife and kids saw it 3 times in theaters and bought it yesterday. I watched it last night and I honestly don't get the hype. It's nowhere close to The Lion King and people saying it's the GOAT are delusional.

I'd put the Lion King, Hunchback, and Beauty and the Beast over it, but it would be my favorite after those 3.

My mom took my girl to see it. But it was showing on the Disney cruise we went on a couple weeks ago, and she wanted to see it again. So I sat through it. Not bad for a Disney movie.

Two girls ages 5 & 7. My 7 yr old pointed out that Rupunzel & Flyn Rider are both in Frozen. They are the first to walk in once the palace gates are opened for Elsa Coronation ceremony.

I'm not sure if our collective expectations of movies have dropped, or if I'm missing the boat on this thing.

they have, movie is no where close to lion king or any of the Disney classics. I'd give it a 6/10 where lion king is a 9.9/10

holy crap. i've had to watch that thing 3 times and haven't noticed that.

Tangled was solid as well. Disney IMHO has released better movies the last 3 years (Tangled, Wreck it Ralph, Frozen) than Pixar (Cars 2, Brave, Monsters U)

I don't understand the love of this movie, but it's all I hear about. Who else will watch this over and over again for the next few weeks? :prayerssent:

the girls have had a DVD of it since Christmas.
But now will get one that doesn't have a head appear in front of it during "Let it Go".

Their current favorite movie. Saw it three times in theaters. I refused to wait in the three and a half hour line to see them at Disney.

It really is a good Disney fairytale with a message and sing a long songs. Like it was when I was a kid with Oliver, Mermaid, Beast, etc..

There was an article saying that the king and queens ship sank on the way to rapunzels wedding

It also went on to say that the ship sank right where the little mermaid movie was based, and that the ship can be seen in that movie.

Was that the ship that killed Ariel's mother?
