From BTR on Thursday, cheapest is $196 on US, American, or United. 1 connection on any of those airlines in Charlotte, Dallas or Houston. Delta is $588 one way nonstop.

From LFT on Thursday, cheapest is $252 on United with a connection in Houston. Delta $588 nonstop.

From BTR on Friday, same thing as Thursday with any of those airlines for $196. Delta $588

From LFT on Friday, one cheap $252 flight on United. Delta $588

Appreciate you checking on that.

That's what I saw on Travelocity. Prices are such a rip......why does the straight shot cost the most, yet Laffy to Seattle to Newark to Atlanta could be $89.

Looks like I'm driving.

ETA: thought you had some magic insider pricing deal.

Well if you're looking for a super cheap flight, Frontier flies MSY-ATL. It's $104 on Thursday, $124 on Friday.

ETA: Didn't include MSY at first, but if you're gonna drive, might be worth it to do the drive to MSY instead of ATL from Laffy

Flight time: 4:20pm- 6:45pm

Saw that too. The departure time, plus the 2+ hr drive to MSY is nearly impossible with my schedule.

I'll post the current ATL fares on southwest first, all for $198 roundtrip. There's $98 roundtrips to Jacksonville, Raleigh, and Richmond

to Austin, TX
to Baltimore/Washington, MD
to Boston Logan, MA
to Chicago (Midway), IL
to Dallas (Love Field), TX
to Detroit, MI
to Ft. Lauderdale, FL
to Houston (Hobby), TX
to Kansas City, MO
to Milwaukee, WI
to Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN
to New York (LaGuardia), NY
to Oklahoma City, OK
to Philadelphia, PA
to Pittsburgh, PA
to San Antonio, TX
to Washington (Reagan National), DC
to West Palm Beach, FL

Next, other airlines are below, all originating in Atlanta. Prices are roundtrip.

Los Angeles: $197 on American
Denver: $198 on Frontier
Miami: $97 on American
Orlando: $97 on Frontier or Spirit
New Orleans: $123 on Frontier, $145 on Delta
Chicago: $157 on American or Frontier
Minneapolis: $158 on Frontier

Well, we tried... think with the 8 1/2 hr drive as long as you get decent gas mileage it will likely be cheaper than $196.

Plus getting to the airport at say 5pm for a 6pm flight with a connection that gets you there at 11:50pm is almost the same as driving.

If you can handle Spirit air, I get my roundtrip flights to Dallas from MSY for $74 total. You can bring a backpack for free. Any other luggage will cost you. It's perfect for a weekend to visit some friends.

$290 from new orleans, $330 from laffy. I can't look at southwest's prices currently as their website is down...

I'd say take a look at southwest's site, usually they're ok as long as you book > 1 week out. However, it's currently down cause of their really good fares.

If you wanted, United is $162 from MSY-ORD one way on the 14th. If you went the 13th, it's $131. The 15th, it's $92
