Voice of reason, you are.

I visited Dealey a couple of times. The picket fence is not far off the road, and it would be hard to hide back there...or get away afterward.

I live in Dallas and have done the JFK museum many times and tour.

Each time I've spoken with an expert I've asked them one on one what they thought. Every single one has said Oswald acted alone.

People like conspiracy theories.

Well you also take issue with modern medicine and vaccinations, so I'd imagine the best reason to believe he did act alone is because you don't believe it.

Yeah, I remember the Files confession. It's interesting, but I also remember reading a piece that picked it apart as not credible. I need to dig that up.

Unless there was other agencies that were complicit in it. There are so many theories out there and so many "confessions."

quote:

Frank Ragano said he personally delivered a message from Teamsters head Jimmy Hoffa to Mafia bosses Santos Trafficante and Carlos Marcello to "kill the president." He claims he thought it was a joke. But "they didn't laugh," said Ragano. "Their looks scared me."

It's enough to make your head spin. I honestly don't think Oswald was capable of pulling this off himself.

#1 If you believe in a conspiracy then you believe that Ruth Payne was involved. She had to be since she was Oswald's connection to get a job at the Book Depository. You also must believe that Roy Truly, the man who hired Oswald there, was involved also.

The fact that Oswald was able to land a job at any of several buildings in Dallas that afforded him the opportunity to take shots at the president in no way implicates his contact, or the person who hired him. If you help get your buddy a job at the gas station across the street from the bank, and he decides to rob that bank, does that automatically make you a part of the nefarious plot to rob the bank?

quote:

#2 You also have to believe that Jack Ruby, running late as it is, decided to risk missing Oswald all together when he stopped off at Western Union to wire one of his employee $25 to pay her rent like 3 minutes before he shot Oswald.

Ruby killing Oswald has no bearing on whether or not there was a conspiracy to kill the president. Ruby could have been acting of his own volition, exactly as he said. He could also have been one of any number of people who were told to smoke Oswald if they got the chance.

quote:

#3 The physical evidence overwhelmingly shows that all shots came from the 6th floor of the book depository.

Except for the 6-8 people who rushed the grassy knoll, including one police officer, who heard at least one shot that they were sure came from there. It also ignores the testimony of dozens of people who said the same.

I'm not claiming conspiracy at all, but some of your assumptions and claims are just not factual or logical. One of the most interesting things I find about the assassination is this: bullet #1, the neck shot, had to be to one that ended up in Connolly and did all the damage to him also. Bullet #2 then had to be a complete miss, which ended up ricocheting off the overpass and injuring a spectator. That means that bullet #3, the real magic bullet in my opinion, had to have exploded Kennedy's head like a watermelon, yet not pass through his head, to have ended up on a gurney at Parkland hospital.

Now, we've all seen a lot of those videos that show a bullet passing through an apple to demonstrate what happens on the other side, but did you ever see that kind of explosive exit where the bullet didn't pass through the object it obliterated? Think about it.

There is hard evidence that was uncovered proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that JFK was murdered by the military industrial complex, tied in with LBJ, the Mafia, Castro and Russia. Facts don't lie.

This close knit group would have been able to keep the entire thing a secret except that various authors were able to unearth the true facts and sell them to the public.

It's passed Count Chocula's bedtime, but he'll chime in tomorrow to agree. He was very active in a similar thread a few years ago and damn near laid this issue to rest for those not as well read on the subject, myself included.
This is correct.

Is senile as hell. His brain may be more pickled than what is left of Kennedy's.

There WAS a conspiracy without a doubt and I will bet anyone ten thousand dollars I can prove it.

That's what makes the whole thing hard to understand... the sun, moon and tides all lined up correctly for the one and only time in history and this loser was able to pull off the crime of the century. Hard to believe, but true. Oswald won the lottery that day.

Back and to the left...... Back and to the left.

And for you grassy knoll believers, this is the brain shot that killed Kennedy. Had the shot come from the grassy knoll, Mrs Kennedy would have been severely injured or killed as well.

Not to mention that bullet shards and brain matter were lodged in the windshield of the car, meaning the shot came from behind and not the side.

All this other bull shite sells books and movies.

Count, let me ask you. How, in your opinion does a former marine move to Russia at the absolute height of the cold war, renounce his US citizenship while living in Russia for a few years, marrying a Russian woman in the process, and then be allowed back into the US with his Russian bride with open arms? Apparently no harm, no foul. Remember, we were weren't very long removed from coming as close to nuclear war with them as this country has ever been.
