I think the Canyon (GMC) version has a much better looking front end than the Colorado.

Never. Look at the resale value. Tacoma holds 82% of its initial cost at 60 months.

I gotta ask, why? Both of these cost damn near the same thing as a Tundra.

After being in a fullsize, you'll hate them both equally.

I like the looks of both. The Tacoma forums are complaining of a lot of issues on the '16 Taco. Assuming because they are new.

Can't fit my Tundra in my garage, don't how much of anything. Pretty much no need for full size truck.

This. You will regret a mid-size and won't save hardly anything on gas which I assume has to be your biggest motivator

ETA: if the only thing you're gaining is garage parking that's an even worse reason to downgrade

Tacoma would probably be a good $3-4,000 more expensive

What? I did this same process last summer and the Colorado was by far more expensive with the same builds. And the canyon was even higher than the Colorado.

I downgraded from full size to a taco 2 years ago. At first I loved it, but now I completely miss having the extra room.

Actually you're really off here. I built the tundra and Tacoma with the same interior and amenities. Tundra was 7-8k more.

I read those forums too and it makes me think I bought a huge piece of shite. When in all actuality, it's a great truck, zero issues, and a real bargain price.

Colorado won truck of the year 2 years in a row. Buy the diesel version. As said above, canyon looks better. Almost like a sierra.

And yeah, the Tacoma will hold value better.

I have a 2015 Chevy Colorado Z71 crew cab. I've put 27k miles on it. So far, no issues. At the point in time when I was purchasing (late 2014), the new Tacos weren't out yet, and I was unimpressed with the old Tacos compared to the new Colorados.
