You guys have a lot going on down there for manufacturering. I was just hearing about a new high voltage cable plant headed that way the other day. I could never live in that death bowl, but it definitely is doing well on the career front.

Yeah job market is sort of bleak. There's been a recent surge in software companies and obviously Boeing is huge to the economy now.

We do love to hate on Cola, but we've all

It's like Baton Rouge. Not a bad place to spend a Saturday in the fall. Other than that...

I was born in Charleston and spent more of my life in the lowcountry than in Columbia, but I don't feel that way at all.

ETA: I travel the whole state pretty regularly, so Columbia makes more sense from that standpoint. And I REALLY like Charleston, but for me - Columbia has been a great place to live.

My parents have a place on IOP, so I consider myself a dual citizen

Just a jab. Honestly, I'm getting to the point where I'd almost rather be Upstate than here.

I don't fish, party, or paticularly love sitting on the beach.

I prefer the golf, camping, backpacking, whitewtaer kayaking, and Gamecock football. Charleston doesn't have a lot for me.

Charleston is much better to vacation than to live. I wonder how many going on about Charleston have actually lived there.

I hear ya. Yeah, I'm getting kind of bored with it. It's pretty monotonous after a while.

It is very significant. It's on the world stage, Charleston is barely on a regional stage....

I would debate that the food is just as good here as back home in nola

Charleston is far better than New Orleans in every way. There's hardly anything southern or charming about New Orleans today.

Charleston has good food, but it's nothing good compared to NO.

My mom had the best explination: Charleston is a southern lady and New Orleans is a southern whore. You love them each seperately for what they are.
