This. I69 pre-existing route was like a gravel road to start with, it may never get finished. Leesville to Alec and Natchez to Laurel are basically already an interstate less ramps and IS type shoulders. Don't need any major overpasses or ramps being there is not jack shat between the the 4 points.... just add the signs. Biggest problem will be Alec to Ferriday (Dewey Wills Mgt Area could be a big hurdle), and Leesville to Jasper. Bridge has been out over the Sabine River since Spring anyway, Just close the highway and start building.

Texas needs to build an Interstate from Austin to Houston. I'm tired of getting caught in that speed trap in Giddings.

They should connect Baton Rouge to Little Rock through Nachez and Monroe.
That would be a continuous freeway from New Orleans to Kansas City and Omaha.

IF THIS IS WHAT THEY SAY, THEN I WONDER WHAT THE REAL REASON IS?
It looks like it will be easier for people to come into the Southern US when Hillary opens all the borders.

I-14 was first approved on 8/10/05 but didn't get funded until dec '15; that US government is just so darn efficient. (sarcasm).
I wonder what they will do about the west bound span of the Natchez-Vidallia bridge; 9ft lanes with no shoulders is not up to interstate standards.

This will be interesting in 2030.

That will be built by Hillary so she can take guns from people faster in the south.

That would ease so much traffic on I-10.

It isn't continuous freeway along the Arkansas/Missouri border yet... but I'm sure that will be completed long before any of these other projects.

the Texas part will be done in a few months. we're still studying our part.
erroneous. we have a project on my small town along i35 that is 6 years running, 2 years overdue an $10MM over budget*.
on the proposed road for Texas' side, they need to end it in San Angelo as it's a pretty decent sized town and has an intelligence AF base there. why the hell would you end it in Iraan, a town of >2k?
ETA: *on further thinking, the company contracted to do this construction is out of Louisiana.
