For what it's worth, Natchez is a really beautiful city.

I-49 is a seperate Interstate that is to run from Alexandria to New Orleans through Morgan City. Also there is Interstate 910, which is the Westbank Expressway, it will be the spur between 49 and 10 other than 310.
In 100 years once it's all done, It'll be nice.
Westbank Expressway is I-910? Never heard of I-910. The I-49 south corridor I had known about was supposed bring US-90 between Lafayette and New Orleans up to interstate standards and that portion of I-49 would follow US-90 from NO-Lafayette with the Westbank Expressway becoming I-49 until the connection to I-10 by the Superdome.
Is I-49 portion near NOLA going to follow a different route now if there's an I-910? Not sure why I'm worried about it since I'll probably be dead by the time it happens or we'll have flying cars

NWLA(Shreveport) is almost done, surely within the year, with tying it from Lafayette to Texarkana, AR.
South LA has been dragging their feet on the Lafayette to NO for years. I've been hearing about that and seeing the future corridor signs since the 1990's it seems.

Speaking of, why is there no new state map since 2000?

I understand the interstate was built for military purposes, but come on.
I hate to agree with the gubmint here, but this does link up almost every major U.S. Army installation in the Southern U.S. (definitely in the cotton belt) along with major installations of the Louisiana and Mississippi national guard.
That's not bullshite.
