What could possibly go wrong?

ETA - he also mentions being the only person around after she had surgery... maybe that's because everyone else in her life realized she was a piece of shite.

This is what it sounds like to me. I've seen relatives get cheated on and it truly blew everyone out of the water. No one expected it, and honestly didn't believe it at first. That stuff seems like it would hurt, and I feel for people involved in those situations.

But if you know there are problems going in, and you sense things, I'd like to think I would get out before it even comes down to finding something out. Haven't been in the situation, so I won't judge. But if you had the fear in the beginning, how can you get so close to get hurt that badly

The warmth is gone. A man who was once just a huge teddy bear becomes nothing but a broken shell of a man filled with cynicism and anger. A once loving man is gone and could never come back because he was so sure and so trusted she could never betray him, the pain shatters your world. You're broken. You're done. You hate.

bullshite. You won. YOU WON. Winning is having the courage to love and commit and accept the vulnerability that comes with it. She lost. She couldn't live up to her commitment or honor the love she gave. Comprehend that. Accept that.

So why would you, the winner, let the actions of her, the loser, damage you?

Get you shite together and stay strong. Move on with your life and when the time is right, keep winning.
ETA: damn dude, you married her anyway after all that? Well, live and learn I guess.

So gets divorced and within 8 months goes through 4 relationships and finally settles on a 23 year old whom he immediately moves in with.

This guy needs a life coach. If I was him, I'd ask the OT for advice daily.

Terd, what's your worst fear? Because mine isn't being cheated on by some whore that I gave my life away to.

Mine is probably something like falling down a well upside down and drowning slowly while being burned alive.

The moral of the story is this: never sacrifice your life completely to a woman for 2 reasons: 1, she may not be worth it, and 2, if she is worth it, such behavior will change her for the worse.

Be yourself, and let someone else love you for it.

He needs to seek friends.

Between the threads from 2013 and this one, does he not have friends or a father to slap some sense into him?

Not fair to blame all your problems on this girl you dated for 60 days. Sounds like you were depressed before you met her and she was tired of being with you. Not trying to be a dick because I'm married with kids too, but I'd start by forgetting her and trying to work things out between you and the mother of your kids. Maybe you changed and became someone else prior to your divorce. Marriage definitely is work, but well worth it imp. Good luck.

Hmmm... probably getting attacked by giant bugs like in Starship Troopers.

Definitely not being cheated on by a slutwhore.

Terrible advice. Absolutely terrible. What a shite show that would be after he just had the second one implode on him. He needs to move away and start over or something.

I know those feels, bro. I don't know you, but I'd be down to crack open a few brews and listen to some Dashboard Confessional records if you want.
