Those of you who warned me were right. I should've listened.

She is a whore.

Some of us try our very best. Pour out our heart and soul. Give everything of us so selflessly. Do everything to lift the other up to help them love themselves so they could be a better person. Become their best friend that they turn to in each and every tough situation for any kind of advice. Show them each and every day how much they love them and tell them how beautiful they are. Treat them like a princess. Go with them to family court to hold their hands when they're scared or confused. Be the only friend or family member there for their surgery, take them home, take them up the stairs, take their shoes off and tuck them into bed.

Sometimes none of that is good enough because the other is selfish, a liar, a back stabber and a cheat. Sometimes the other can't control their need to be with as many sexual partners as possible while the supposed love of their life is out on the road utterly busting his arse for their kids and them. Then some try to cope by locking themselves in their room for 4 days, barely eating, barely sleeping, not bathing, not brushing their teeth, not shaving, losing color, losing 20 lbs. They just sit there and sulk in pain, soaked in tears and alcohol as they replay the good memories over and over then think about someone else having her body over and over while you're thousands of miles from home. Sometimes a great man who's heart is full of devoted love will get his heart and spirit ripped out and devoured by her cruel and black soul.

Then sometimes the one who is betrayed gets filled with anger and can't comprehend how they will ever completely and totally expose their hearts again. They become bitter. They put up walls and sometimes they never come down. Sometimes being treated like garbage by the person you thought was the center of your reason for being changes you as a person forever. You aren't the same person anymore. The warmth is gone. A man who was once just a huge teddy bear becomes nothing but a broken shell of a man filled with cynicism and anger. A once loving man is gone and could never come back because he was so sure and so trusted she could never betray him, the pain shatters your world. You're broken. You're done. You hate.
