My kid's classmate falls off monkey bars today, breaks arm - school to remove them tomorro

It's an older elementary school where I'd say the monkey bars are probably ~15 years old...solid metal.
Clumsy kid falls off and breaks his arm (an ambulance got called) so we found out that tomorrow there will be no more monkey bars on the playground. WTF?
What is this country coming to?

I fell off the monkey bars in 3rd grade when I was climbing on the top and broke my arm.
When my mom picked me up from school to get a cast, she just about whooped my arse.

In 5th grade I fell off a 2 story play house at St. George onto gravel and was knocked unconscious... woke up with gravel stuck up my nose and my head bleeding... walked myself to the nurses office, got a few bandaids and was sent to class

Blame Personal Injury attorney.
They got greedy with all these ads telling people they can be rich every time they get hurt.
Used to be you broke a bone and just had a good story to tell, now you break a bone and you look to get paid.
I can see the school paying the medical bills maybe.
I had a thread a year ago about how normal swings were disappearing from all the local parks.
A baby today will never see a Merry Go Round or a Jungle Gym.
They got greedy with all these ads telling people they can be rich every time they get hurt.

I literally watched two of my friends in grade school break their wrist jumping up to grab the monkey bars. It's been over 20 years, but I'm pretty sure they are still there.

Good job by the school. Hopefully they remove everything at the school that could possibly harm those children
