I remember standing on top of the monkey bars one time and I fell through. Caught myself with my armpit and slammed into the ground. Luckily, I didn't break anything. But I laid on the ground for about 20 seconds laughing and calling myself a dumbass. shite hurt for about a week or so, but I didn't tell my parents because I didn't want them to call me a dumbass.

Our playground had a slide like this at our school. Called it Old Bumpy.

The parents hated it. Sent one girl to the hospital. Those were the days.

How many times did I get kicked in the head by people on swing sets? They never removed those

you can thank lawyers...that kid is about to get paid. When I was growing up getting hurt was just part of being a kid and not about finding others liable.

That kid is definitely the bus riding, school lunch eating, playground king.

Now go pop some kids on top their heads with that cast.

This was a rite of passage when I was a chap.

Yeah at some point in elementary school just about every boy would break an arm from falling off something. I broke mine in first grade. It was a proud moment going to school with that cast.

I fell off the monkey bars everyday in first grade for a week until I learned to do a knee spin.

I guess if I were still in school, they would probably stop serving mashed potatoes.

Elementary school with a cast? He's going to be the most popular kid at the school, with everyone wanting to sign his cast

But seriously though, why is it not okay for someone to experience any sort of pain anymore? shite, it was an accident, the damn monkey bars didn't maliciously attack the clumsy kid.

Now this kid is going to grow up thinking that anyone or anything that does something to him that he doesn't like, it should be removed immediately instead of just dealing with it and becoming a better person for it
