NO, BR, Laffy, Shreve, Lake Chuck? Female wants to live in Louisiana. I'm thinking Shreve may be the smallest culture shock since I'm from Texas but interested in hearing the OTs opinion on the friendliest of these areas.

First, I'm sorry.

Second, the answer is Lafayette.

Shreveport and Bossier are pretty much like an extension of Northeast Texas with a little more cultcha.

NOLA hands down.

Want to know how I know? I grew up in Baton Rouge, lived in Lafayette for undergrad, lived in NOLA the last 4 years, & just moved back to Lafayette Monday. I went grocery shopping for the first time today & no one even greeted or acknowledged me when I walked in, while I was shopping, OR when I checked out. Granted, I was at the Rouses (which I have always hated); I just didn't have the opportunity to drive across town to TFM of WF.

Oh the gals down on Sprague Street in S'port are all real friendly. All around that neighborhood (emphasis on hood) the gals are real REAL friendly.

If you can find a job and like a smaller town, Ruston and Natchitoches are nice places with nice people. Otherwise, Lafayette.

My UGA wife hated Texas when we lived there. She loves Baton Rouge.
