I was on delay in SoCal waiting to fly back home to San Francisco and asked why we were waiting...it's foggy in SF. I wanted to punch that bitch, it was Friday after a long business travel week. No shite bitch. fricking foggy in SF. Walked back to bar and bought everyone shots and we all toasted the fog.

Not really crazy but some frick threw up on the plane before leaving. It was from ATL to Nashville which is about a 34 min flight. We were delayed 45 min.

I waited an hour and a half for a bag of ice.

We could have been in New Orleans in that hour and a half and I would have drank anything room temperature just to be at my destination.

It was cold, seriously like -19 in Casper, WY in February, and the plane wouldn't crank.

Had to wait for the de-icing crew one time.... At MSY.

Had to wait for lazy arse ramp workers to show up at BTR before we could park.

i was delayed for an hour or two in jackson WY because the previous pilot or the logistics crew at delta HQ in atlanta (i'm not sure who is responsible for this) forgot to file a flight plan to salt lake city for our flight.

wasn't too bad, as the views in jackson aren't bad at all. you face the tetons from the terminal.

frickin plane wasn't there

Went to my assigned gate on E in ATL. No plane. I travel 25+ weeks per year, so this isn't uncommon. I just assume it's late. I take a seat, and a couple of minutes later a guy standing behind me gets on the phone wanting to know where the hell his equipment is. I look back, and it's the pilot.

More funny than annoying. Since it's ATL, they had another plane there in less than half an hour.

Accidentally booked myself on the same flight as my wife so I had to wait for the next flight.

Something similar.

Flew out to College Station last February. Had to wait in the Houston airport twice. I was in the United Airlines terminal and during both occasions someone came on the intercom saying that a flight was delayed because the captain and / or crew just didn't show up. Wasn't missing, nothing wrong with the plane. It sounded like they decided to just not show up for work those days.

Luckily I wasn't on either of those flights.

I went to SF a few weeks ago and they told us the same thing. When we landed, not only had it been a perfectly clear day, but thanks to construction, there was only one runway on that side of the airport for takeoffs AND landings. They just didn't want to tell us.

Flying Delta one time, the pilot's seat in the cockpit broke and they had to fly a replacement seat in from Atlanta.

I was flying from BR to Dallas once when they told me the flight was cancelled cause the battery in the plane was bad. True story. American eagle from BR to love field on a Saturday morning . Really lady? The battery?!
