Many of my friends and coworkers over the years have either cheated, or been cheated on. It really seems like a minor miracle to find a spouse that won't cheat these days.

I also think the change in the family dynamic plays a part.
Back in the mad men era, most women were stay at home wives, and if the breadwinner husband was out screwing around, it was almost like the wife has to grin and bear it.
Now with both sexes in the workplace, and the woman/wife able to earn on her own easier than before, a woman doesn't need to put up with as much shite as before.
