The best was when Mr. Wrestling II turned on Magnum TA.

Mr. Olympia, Hacksaw Butch Reed, Stan Stasiak, Kortsia Korchenko....

I also remember when Grizzly Smith and Jimmy Kilshaw ran 5-Star Wrestling cards out of the Bellmont Great Hall back in 89-90. Good times.

The figure 4 and the DDT.

I wonder how many school nurses had to deal with the aftermaths of those.

The figure four was the finishing move for Ted Debose. Was the DDT jake the snake finishing move? I can't remember

No way that was Stagger Lee. JYD was banned at that time and JYD would never do something like that.

Mr. Wrestling II wasy favorite. My favorite moment was when Terry Taylor beat Volkov and Krusher Darsow at the same time.

In my pre-teen years (late 70's/early 80's)I would watch as that on Saturday nights on KTVE out of El Dorado. Monday mornings at school, it was all any of the guys talked about.

I still remember when the infamous Rat Pack was formed during the Louisiana State Fair. Duggan was dressed in a gorilla costume and had been in the audience the entire show then came out to turn heel and help DiBiase. Third member that is rarely mentioned: Bob Roop.

Those were the days!

Without doing a pic search... Who remembers this guy in Mid South..?

Grizzly Smith. He raped his girlfriend's 13 year old daughter and got her pregnant. They got married and the baby was Jake "The Snake" Roberts.

He lived in Metairie and worked as a cemetery maintenance worker close to the quarter after he got older. He died in 2010 at 77.

Thank you, frick you, bye!

Seriously, one of these days Jim Cornette is going to have a coronary or an aneurysm while ranting about Vince Russo, Kevin Dunn or Mark Madden.

AXS TV airs New Japan Pro Wrestling. I catch some of the old WCW and Japan collaboration stuff on YouTube. Sting and the Great Muta had some amazing matches over there.

My brother, who is 10 years older than I am and one of my uncle's, who is a few years younger than my brother use to live for Mid-South Wrestling. I have some stories from them days.

Every Sunday (it use to come on before NFL games came on during football season if I recall) my brother would go in his room and close the door to watch it. He wouldn't let me in until after it was over. One time he suplexed me in the bed, but he was closer to the wall than he thought and my feet hit all up against the wall. I had to go to the dr the next day to make sure it wasn't broke.

My uncle use to take that shite so serious. He use to love Lex Luger. Something happened and I guess he Luger lost.. My uncle turned around and hit the wall and his hand went straight through.. I thought my grandma was going to kill him. In fact, she almost did. He was a teenager and i'd say bigger than average (not fat, just solid), she grabbed him, drug him outside and beat him with a broom (she grabbed the broom and hit him several good times before he got away). He went off somewhere and then she told my grandpa. I wasn't there when he came back, but I am sure it wasn't pretty.... All because Lex Lugar lost.
