Get measured somewhere and buy online from Thailand.
You can get super-nice custom-made suits from well-known Thai tailors for like $400. The quality is up there with $2,000+ suits.
I used to go for custom Brooks or whatever and would drop $1,500 or more...no more.
You need to know who you're buying from, but these guys have cards on their walls from very high-ranking officials from all over the world. Supposedly, they've made suits for 41, 43, and Obama.

K&G Fashions in Metairie....Don't mind the armed guard at the door, I think it's because of the high quality lonnnng jacketed suits.

No doubt. I was looking at fabrics for their sports coats and the owner told me most sports coats end up costing about 5k. All custom made. Incredible fabrics. Just way too rich for my blood

I now have to wear a suit everyday. I have a few from Men's warehouse, but need several more. I know online is probably the best bet for low prices, but I prefer to try on what I buy.
I have a tailor that flys in from Thailand

Super 120 and 150 wool suits great prices.
Something I just learned not too long ago, but Super 150 isn't a good choice. It feels great, but evidently it's not durable at all. If you're going to go through the trouble of spending hundreds of dollars on these clothes, might as well get some that have a better chance of lasting a long time. I think Super 120s and 150s are close enough in feel that I'd rather go with the 120 just so I don't have to go to the tailor as often over the course of my lifetime.

im not saying EVER, I dont mind wearing suits for certain functions, meetings, or whatnot, but everyday??? Nah, I'll stick to my dry fit Polo's, blue jeans or khakis and boots. I usually wear a hat 3 or 4 days a week as well.

I did Jos A Bank when I graduated and needed some suits for interviews. Not doing it again. I do like some of their shirts though.
Brooks Bros has a really good selection. Nordstrom has an okay selection as well. Places like Dillard's just always seem to have junk or really big suits. Nothing to pick from in my size (I'm a very average sized guy). So besides those two places, you would have to find a local store and it's not going to be cheap. But if you are wearing a suit every day, then you should be making enough bank to not worry about that.

I can vouch for these guys - eHaberdasher
I've had really good luck with my last 2 suits, both purchased on ehaberdasher. I found them while reading through styleforum.net suit discussions. This guy is able to get his hands on full canvas, Italian mill suits at crazy prices. He has the higher end stuff that most won't need (Brioni), but he's got stuff from the same factories that make things for Canali, Ralph Lauren Black, etc. Then he's got the full canvas, higher end stuff of respectable brands like Lanvin and Paul Zileri. Most of the best deals are on 3/2 suits, which I've grown to like. I just got one of the Maco suits a few weeks ago...haven't even tailored it yet. But it feels awesome, full canvas, Italian made, slim. I just can't even begin to consider something like a Suitsupply half-canvassed or mid-range fused suit at a place like Dillards. We've all been there, but you can do better for your money. Get properly sized, shop online, find a good tailor.
