Fully canvassed suits around $550,half canvassed around $375.

Gotta to be made of burlap. Those prices don´t even cover labor and fornitures.

No burlap here.

I'm telling you, these Benjamin suits could easily go for 2-3x their cost. Ben is the owner of the site and he sources his own fabrics from Italy.

I wore a suit everyday for 20 yrs in the hotel business
since I was running around all the time and actually working, Jos A Bank was the ticket, they'd last about a year then get tossed

if you are in the office all day among other guys who dress well you'll likely want something better than that though. I had 2 expensive suits that I wore when I knew I had a presentation or a client meeting

how you look in a suit has a lot to do with the shirt though...my advice is to buy good shirts, starched well, and rotate them out. A crisp white shirt and nice tie will make any suit look better

Whatever quality suit you get, make sure the shoulders fit and have it tailored. No matter how well you think it looks off the rack.

I wear a suit everyday. I have a guy who flies into Houston from Korea and sets up shop at hotel. Takes measurements etc and then flies back makes suits. The quality is has high caliber as any Gucci suit.

I always hear about the traveling tailors from Thailand or Korea but nobody ever tells you who they are and how to find them.

Do any of you that use a traveling guy have a link?

I found I can wear Hugo Boss off the rack 42R - just minor alterations. So instead of spending $1500 in store I find them online for $250 - $600.

I'm the same way- an off the rack 42R fits me almost perfect (generally have to get a half inch off the sleave).

You can look good in an inexpensive suit that is tailored and fits properly.

I'm not saying Hugo Boss suits don't have good styling, but they are crazy over priced. Most of them are fused and use inferior fabrics.

Go for quality over quantity. A good suit made from quality material will last you longer than a cheap suit. If you grab the material and it springs with minimal wrinkling, it is a quality suit. You can get by with two suits for a week if you change shirts and ties and buy more pants. 1 suit=2 pairs of pants that match your suit. When you make for money consider getting a custom made suit.

I'm not there long enough

I feel like I'm close but no cigar with my suits. Maybe I'm just hard on myself.

Clearance Dillards in Cortana has some ridiculous deals on suits.

Stein Mart has some great ones.

Got one from Burlington.

Thrift stores rock

And Jos. A. Bank

These days, I don´t know.

I know their top shelf off the peg stuff is semi canvassed (chest and shoulders, the rest fused).

Most top shelf brands´ off the peg stuff tends to be semi (or at least used to be so).

This. I just picked up a Hart Schaffner Marx for less than 300 bucks. Talk about a steal. Blue with window pane pattern. I'm very happy

There's a bunch of sites out there now where you send in your measurements they'll whip em up in a SE Asia slaveshop and you get a pretty decent suit for under $200.

There´s a lot of garbage in Italy as well.

The 140´s is crazy for frequent use, and I´m sure he´s not using Loro Piana.
