To the op...

You need to just visit a couple mattress stores, and lay down on some. When it comes to mattresses and sleeping, opinions are like assholes...

Tempurpedic for 17 years now. Queen size was about $2500 at the time at Olindes.

Check out amazon, got a king size Zinus form them a couple months ago for less than 500$ and free shipping. Was kinda hesitant about buying a mattress for less that 500$ but its been awesome so far.

Tuft and Needle

I bought a queen 6 months ago and am very happy with it. I was worried it would be too soft but it's pretty firm for foam, prefect for what I like.

Look up Tuft and Needle.

+1 for Tuft & Needle. I absolutely love mine. Have had it almost 2 yrs. It is a firm mattress(firmer than Casper) which is what I wanted. On the first night, I thought it might be too firm, but after about a week of sleeping on it, it softened up a bit and was perfect. That's why they give the 90 day free trial.

What's up with the firm mattress people?

"Ahhhh..what a long, exhausting day. I can't wait to get home and flop down on my rock hard bed

When you get to be the same age as us old people and you wake up crying with a bad back because you slept in a hole you'all say, "what's up with these kids that like to sleep on a marshmallow".

For what it's worth, I never understood having a firm mattress until I got older.

Earlier this summer I bought a Zinus for a fraction of the cost of the Casper. It's the same bed in a bag design.

Thus far I've enjoyed it, and it is comparable to a smaller sized Sealy memory foam bed I purchased at Sam's several years ago.

I will say, the best bed I've ever slept on was a sleep number bed. That thing was unreal

Got a Bed in a Box a little while ago and like it a lot. Better than the POS I was sleeping on for sure. They had a thread awhile back that may be worth checking out.

I'm going to give the purple mattress a whirl soon. It's about $1,000 for a king.

I'm curious on that and the Casper. Been seeing ghost bed too.

We have a Sam's club king 8 inch gel foam and a 4lb 3" density topper. The topper makes the bed as it's high density. I think we spent under 800 on those two plus a platform.

We also bought the king sized serta memory foam bed in a box from Sam's last year on sale for like $500...figured it was worth a shot...havent regretted it at all.

I’ve got an older Helix and I like it. I’ve been on their website lately, and they’ve advanced further. I may want to purchase another soon.

ETA: I like that there is a slight bit of customization with the Helix to your sleeping preference.
