Not much. There are days where it seems like a pain in the arse. But the kids are great and I like a fairly drama free life focused on professional acheivement.

Being single was fun in its own way, but all that time, money, and effort spent just to chase some pussy feels wasted now. I probably could have cured cancer if I had redirected my energy spent on women in my early days.

It's great.

The same woman to wake up to every morning. The reduced number of blow jobs. The "just get on top me and finish." The "not now." The "she's already sleeping by the time you get out of the shower." The "she gets half of your net worth if it doesn't work out." The "of course you still look great 70 lbs. later."

I really feel sorry for my friends, because my wife is none of that.

Good luck with your marriage. I'm sure everything will work out exactly as you envision it.

Done it all already. Were on our 2nd IVF cycle this month. Hopefully I get a good Christmas present this year. If not then it's over

Rarely, but I have. It's a tough thing to do and adding kids in the mix makes for long days. Would do it all over again though. Sometimes I miss the crazies that were just useful for a good time.

I went to dinner one night while dating my wife. There was a middle aged man alone, drinking at the bar. He was being all pawwy with the waitresses...I knew then I didn't want to be that lonely drunk guy chasing young shnizz and striking out.

This could have been me. On a business trip.

Which city? And which restaurant?

Lol, no. Only 2 kids

Almost 9 years. We married right out of college.

You got a raw deal, dude.

I've met plenty of people going through similar situations (maybe not quite as bad), and I've been able to help them by letting them see how I survived and they will too. So it's not a total waste.

Some of you dudes flat out married the wrong women.

Very true, but at the time it wasn't known. Take my ex for instance, I was unaware of her baggage from her abuse (every single type) from age 3 to young adult. Was never told about it until after mentioning divorce. Would have been a good thing to know - would I still have married her? Probably, but the little things would have been handled differently.

So, some times you just never know what's in the package until you take it home.

Any married man that says that there's not been at least one occasion when they have thought this is a lying sack of shite.

As for me, on balance, no, I do not regret it. Good life, great kids, tolerable in-laws.

That said, if for whatever reason I would find myself without a wife, I would never do it again.

You ask this on the OT?

I wouldn't be alive today if not for my wife, so yeah, I'm liking it a lot. Plus, my children have a great mom, she brought a lot of stability in my life....

I really don't think the people who marry because they are afraid of getting old alone are making a great choice. To me just do what makes you happy. If a relationship makes you happy then great. If you love being single then great.

We all die eventually. Being single or married doesn't change that.

Met my wife when I was 24 and she was 19. We met in July 1991 and were married in Jan 1992. We Have been married every since and I honestly say I have NO regrets.

We have been married for the 25 years and have raised two great children together. Over those 25 years I have watched how the dating game as changed through friends and I can also honestly say I am so glad I did not have put up with some of the Bull shite and childish games they put each other through.

not much.

my wife is the only person i've slept with. i don't regret that as it fits my belief system to this day.

that being said. i had no fun in college. i worked 40-60 hour weeks to graduate with no debt. got married at 20 and had my first kid at 23.

i filled out in my 30s, got in shape, and also cut loose much more than i was able to in my 20s. I also travel for a living.

i've turned down more sex in the last 2 years from other women than i have in my entire 13 years of marriage to my wife. not that it was even a second thought or something i though about at all, but in a sinful way it causes some regrets.

I think really the hard thing for me is the whole "grass is greener on the other side" mentality.

It's very easy to think you'd be better off(or have a lot more fun) when you go out and see tons of single babes just begging for a man. Especially when you live in a place like Dallas... it really is astonishing.

I think what I miss most is really just the excitement of a new chick.

But I have definitely come to realize that will not make you happy for long.
