I didn't read all your novel length rant, but you seem distraught.

Don't be mad I make note of what I observe. You should probably look around more often. More marriages consist of those "cliches".

Your observations mean as much as my observations that single guys in their 30s are always the guys complaining on FB how they can never find "the right one" and are the lonely guys going home alone on Friday night to a sad, empty little apartment to sleep on a futon

Have you read accounts of extreme displeasure from single guys? I can guarantee you've not.

More than married people? A couple of friends on Facebook doesn't come close. Look at divorce rates.

I'm pretty sure Futures Bleak is envious of married men and is insecure about being single. You're only masking it with single guy bravado talk.

we are all in our early to mid 30s

the only guys I see complaining constantly are the single guys

Damn, you sound like the definition of a self centered miserable person.

Is it possible to be happily married and happily single ....absoloutley. Married life is for some people and not for others, there is no problem with that. However I've never been happier my baw, I can say that with the utmost sincerity, but hey we all want different things. My grandpa used to say if we all liked the same things everyone would be fricking grandma.

That is my reasoning, if you don't agree, I'm fine with that but to call me self centered is just delusional considering how much I do to help my community & neighbors. You do understand you don't have to be married to help others.

My initial reaction is hell yes. But then I look at my little girl and realize without my marriage I would not be blessed with the greatest gift known to mankind. There is nothing I would not do for my daughter.

What is there to be envious about? I think you guys have deluded yourself into really thinking the married life is gods gift to earth.
