My sentiment, aligns with most of the guys here.... I don't regret getting married at all. I have a beautiful daughter and a best friend to share the rest of my life with.

But there sure as frick sometimes I wish I was single, for the 2 main reasons already stated, freedom to do anything at any time, or mess around with a different girl. I really think monogamy goes against human nature. All this said, I wouldn't give up being married.

Yeah, we're human. Some people need to get off their high horse.

Not a bit. Do I remember when I was single, of course I do, every guy does. I don't regret getting married. My wife and I love each other and she has given me three beautiful children.
Ditto and well-written.

The only thing I'll add is Mrs. Füt is quite my terrific advocate and that would extend to when/if I'm non compos mentis. It's nice to have that in reserve.

I completely believe people have more successful careers when they get married.

One guy at the office is constantly there before I get there and still there when I leave. He would rather be at work then at home with his wife

At the time when I thought the marriage was good? No. Now? Yes - to an extent. However, I have two awesome kids that I wouldn't change anything for, so maybe its not a total regret.

I'll rank them in this order

1. Good marriage
2. Single life
3. Drowning
4. Burned alive
5. Other elaborate torture
6. Death
7. Bad marriage

So obviously people's opinion will differ depending on their marital experience.

I grew up as an only child with lenient parents so I have never had to share anything or compromise on anything with anyone.

Took me a while to get used to that but its getting better for both of us as far as mutual understandings.

..what does this have to do with being married...? Your ex did all this and you divorced her? For shame!

The idea of being 75 and single with no kids and never married doesn't appeal to me.

Truth. However, the idea of being that with kids and being divorced isn't appealing, either.

Yea, this is irrelevant to the benefits of being married. Sounds like you just enjoy having a house keeper.

Idk, as long as if you have a good relationship with your kids, I'd still take that over being completely alone at an old age.
