Predictions are a wet mardi gras every day until Tuesday.
Weather.com 10 Day NOLA Forecast
Has anyone heard anything from krewes about rescheduling or changing routes?

For Friday night parades, I hear the plan is to roll.

They certainly won’t change things over a 40% chance of rain.

If parades rolled through the downpour Saturday night, no one is changing anything right now

True. But it will be colder.

It was looking so good last week, but that's certainly changed for the wetter.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday aren't looking too bad. Warmish, rain off and on. Sunday looks to start a cold and wet run. Not much heavy rain to be seen at least.
Monday and Tuesday look miserable as things stand currently. Tuesday the worst, featuring highs in the 30s and raining.
Nothing certain yet with exact timing but I'm not a fan of the current trend.

No krewe is going to change anything based on 40-50% chances of rain.
There was a 60% chance this past Saturday and the day parades were awesome under cloudy skies and breezy.

Per the link the high is supposed to be 57 and 20% chance of
Rain

I'm basing what I said on weather model outputs.

Nyx is starting to have conversations. Currently it looks like the bad stuff would be through the area before evening. But it also seems like this time of year, systems move slower / show up later in the day than forecast.
Thursday, they could maybe do an early roll.
Friday could be tough.
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday all currently, they would roll if the forecast doesn't change.
Late Mardi Gras are always wet and subject to random storms.
The problem the last few years in Orleans Parish, is available slots and politics. Nyx and Muses are too big to go back to back and I don't see 4 parades on a Thurs night. Sat, you could roll parades before Iris - they have done that before, but you really can't roll anything after Tucks because the police need to get down to help out at the back end of the Endymion route. No one realistically can follow Endymion.
Sunday morning, again, you have early spots - Crews can roll early before Okeanos, it's been done before. Mon afternoon is also possible.
But moving a parade to a different night means you lose marching groups and rides, and a fair number of people in city parades ride in more than one. So, they will always do anything they can to keep the parade on the assigned day.
Again, this is tough with the NOLA parades. Only so many places to start and end these large parades.

LOL they rolled because the weatherman said it would be clear, then storms popped up out of nowhere. If they knew that was coming they would have held off until it passed.

Looks like it's whiskey instead of beer

Looks like Saturday night will be ok...ish.

Bingo. I was seeing videos of those poor dance team girls during the middle of that and it looked miserable. Some went home before they rolled and some started on the route then dropped out halfway through.
I just need Thoth Sunday to not be bad. They have had some really good luck with weather the past several years.

Surely it's still too early to know what the weather will actually be like? From what I've seen Wednesday-Friday have better chances of being wet than Saturday-Tuesday. However, the weather this time of year is so damn finicky, I wouldn't feel comfortable making predictions until day of/up to the hour of...
