A couple weeks ago I was in a fender bender in which my rear bumper had to be replaced. All the local body shops were hesitant about fixing it because of my cars unique factory paint code, which is a tri coat consisting of 2 different reds and w pearlescent coat with gold flakes that gives the paint an either bright red or close to burgundy looking red depending on the lighting. The body shops recommended taking it to the local dealership that could order the factory paint code instead of having to mix it like the body shops would. No biggie. The dealership does the repairs and I get it back the Tuesday before thanksgiving. The paint is even close to matching. Looks like they painted it Torred instead of Redline tri coat. I let the service manager know and he tells me to bring it back Monday.

I take it up there today, tell them I would like to drop it off tomorrow morning, and ask for a loaner car while they are doing the repair. He asks if I bought the car from that particular dealership and since I did not (you'd be a fool to buy from them. They don't negotiate on prices and even have a brand new Chrysler 300 C, fully loaded, that's a damn 2014 and has been on the lot for 18 months now and they still won't wiggle on price ), but since I didn't buy a car from them, they can't give me a loaner while they repaint a bumper they incorrectly painted the first time. What kind of shite is that! They never had to worry about me purchasing a vehicle from them before, and never in the future will they ever get my business.

WTF happened to just having regular colors?

"Oh, look at me! My car is one giant mood ring!"

Nice subtle brag, bro.

Sounds like your insurance should be giving you the loaner, not them.

I wouldnt expect a place to give you a loaner car like that. Thats the equivalent of me dropping my car off at the goodyear down the road and asking them for a loaner to go get some lunch while they change my tires.

So you would accept this work?

I'm a shithead because I expect my vehicle to return from a body shop in a condition that looks like it was never wrecked. If this was your vehicle, would you be receptive of this type of work on your car!? Didn't think so.
