This is true although some posters on this board think that's the case. My wife used to work at the Department of Children and Family Services in BR and used to see just as many white people getting LA Purchase cards as black people.

These changes are being proposed in KS. Their demographic is 87% white. While I could not find the breakdown of which races collect welfare, I would bet that most of them are white.
Since welfare was designed to be a temporary thing for those who could not find work, maybe welfare recipients could be told where to show up to work in order to receive benefits. Once they find a job of their own, they can move on, as designed.

If they would prefer to work picking up litter and mowing grass, or whatever task they are assigned, fine. But they need to work to eat from the public, or private, trough. Compensation would be based on hours worked and performance, just like real life.

You're right. White people are fixing their own problems in Kansas. Kansas has a 5% black population, so this welfare problem is predominantly white.
Kansas has a white population of almost 90%.

They should have to do SOMETHING in order to get the money. We could require that they pick up trash, clean government buildings, work at local parks etc. Make them spend 10 hours a week looking for a job, 10 hours learning a skill and 20 hours working. Also, the food they get would be delivered to them at work once a week in a package and it would be just things like rice, beans and government cheese. They could take possession of it each week after they pass their weekly drug and alcohol test.
