But it isn't an unlimited amount of cash. Once they spend it, it is gone. We shouldn't care how they blow the money.

The money is supposed to be needs based. People need food and household essentials. People don't need to gamble or get tattoos. If you have enough money left over after getting the necessities to go gamble it away then you have more than you need to begin with.

Meanwhile in Louisiana they have people buying throwbacks and flatbills with their cards.

I have a New Era Insider card. It saves me a lot of money. Just saved $10 bucks this past week on a hat. Imagine what I could save with an EBT card.

We should care if someone is able to gamble tax payer money. That's absolutely ridiculous.

You do realize that a LA purchase card is more than just SNAP (food stamps). They can have several different types of funds on one card and all those different types of funds have different spending limits.

I'm a huge supporter of commodities. Think of the jobs it would create too. And the food is actually healthier than the shite being purchased.

An essential cog in the welfare wheel. Also known as a baby daddy.

Going rate is about $.50 so you'd be paying a bit of a premium. $.55 should be the sweet spot

I will be honest I have no idea because I have never, and hopefully will never need it. But if it is benefits coming from taxpayers they shouldnt be able to purchase luxury items IMO.

This is 100% true. It's usually just 2 funds thou. Food fund household goods funds.

eh parts of this bill make me sick.

Swimming? Are we using legislature to limit PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

You know, physical activity could help improve the health of some of these folks.

Maybe they just don't want to swim with them anymore

Food stamps should be managed like WIC. But they need a mandatory cooking course. Most people today have no idea how to cook for a family and basic nutrition.

I feel like I never have "money left over...to go gamble" and I'm well-paid.

Well if you're going to tell people what they can and cannot buy, maybe you should educate yourself before make false statements.

I have long pushed for a government gruel, that provides all of the recommended daily allowances of vitamins and minerals, and is tasteless, in lieu of welfare. Distributed at gruel centers. Think of the jobs created, and the incentive to work so that you can afford tasty food.
