Also, there is no 8% processing fee

Wow, IDK that.

They went up quick, though, and I wanted to do something.

I found out yesterday that the only way the contributions are tax deductible is if they are to a 501(c) deal so the foundations are probably set up that way.

(Not why I did it, just sharing info)

This is another benefit that they're doing for all the officers involved. Not sure if we need to edit the OP, an add this or any other ones that pop up.

For those that cannot make it to the jambalaya benefit the restaurants are donating 25% to the Fallen Officers Fund

The FB page says proceeds. Not sure if they do a % of sales or profit or if it's up to the individual business. Some businesses may just pledge a specific #, Mockler Beverage is on the list.

Does anyone have a list of the restaurants participating in the 25% on the 25th?

Wafb said there was one on their website but my phone is not showing it. I googled and got a FB page but I don't have FB.

This is an old story, but I thought worth posting today. As this thread shows, there are plenty of great people in the world.

If they don't need one, i know a group that is doing a benefit sale for the fallen officers & their families. They may be needing another jambalaya cooked. They are called the Ascension Parish's God Squad. You can look the page up on faceboook & contact them through there. one of the founders of the group works for me at Tiger Audio
