I know him and his brother.
I'm sending my parents with some money (I have to work). More than enough for food and raffle tickets.
Just sent a text to mom. Her reply "yes, we were going anyways, we give them anything you want us to".
Eta: I'm going to send out a company wide email tomorrow and try to get as many donations as I can. I'm sure I can get a lot of participants.

Good people up in here. Good people.

MSCoastTigerGirl, do you have any idea if there's any change in his condition??? I'm praying for that man and his family ... I have no clue who they are and my heart is broken.
eta: and I of course understand if you can't say anything. I did take it as encouraging that he squeezed his mother's hand. At least his family is able to be with him some as opposed to the other officers whose families didn't have that chance.

They should make the raffle tickets available for purchase online.
I was thinking the same. Is there anyway to online donate for us Houstonians?

An account has been set up at Whitney Bank. You can donate at any Whitney or Hancock Bank, if you have one in your area.
Checks can be made out to Deputy Nick Tullier Fund.
Thank you

We're planning on getting plates for all our people, anyone know if we should call ahead or just show up?

I will bump the thread, it has links to the Go Fund Me pages as well as addresses to mail checks.

The Baton Rouge Area Foundation has an account setup as well. Can't link. (On work call).
If you're employer matches your charitable contributions, use this method and get the marching dollars. Matching dollars can't be done if donated to an account in 1 individuals name like the gofund me accounts. Also, there is no 8% processing fee.
Edit to add link. This is more important than my work call. LINK to Baton Rouge Area Foundation donation page
also, contributions to this fund are tax deductible! Not the case with Gofund me accounts.

Gavin is a friend of mine.
I think he said they are in the neighborhood of 3000 plates.
I'v also heard they are now up too 3 guns a 20q yeti cooler.
I guess people are just donating straight to them to help with this (as i did) so they are just expanding what they are raffling and the amount of plate they are going to be selling.
They have mentioned it a number of times in their live FB update videos to call if you'd like to donate, or you'd like raffle tickets, or food delivered somewhere.
