In 25+ years, I've only got one refund from the state. Pay almost every year.

Why does this matter? It's a loaded question if I've ever seen one. Let me guess....if it's an amount you deem too high then I am just lending the state free money and I'm too damn dumb to figure out taxes.....if it's an amount you deem low then I'm just a poor for ever asking for it in the first place because people of your stature don't fret over such small amounts of money, right?

I just talked to someone, I was accepted on the 29th. the lady said that there is no set release date but should be released between 7-10 business days and that the 60 days was business days not actual days. that if i dont receive within two weeks to call back. UGH

Bull shite...if it was me owing them money I wouldn't be able to sleep at night with people knocking at my door.

Dude...you have NO IDEA.

Thing is, they won't hound you. No phone calls, no letters. No no no that's too easy.

What they do is keep mum about a mistake you made on a return for a couple years...then one day you find your vehicle unregisterable or God forbid your DL suspended.

Then you call, and have a ridiculous amount thrown at you to pay with no rhyme or reason.
Then, to find out WHY you owe x amount for 20xx, you jump through the hoops, re-file the return...wait....send W2s...wait...with "the juice" running on the initial amount the whole time.

And, when you're done with all that and your initial return was correct...you still have to pay for "tax clearance" - which, by the way is Cajun for "you pay for my mistake"

Pardon me while I break into "The Yellow Rose of Texas..."

And why does it matter what I'm getting back? Even if it was only $5 that's something I can use, so buzz off

It's typical for them to have problems with issuing the refund.
