Dude. Not even close. What ignorance you display. Hammond has a functioning college which automatically eliminates it from chance at being the trashiest city.

It's not even top 10 baw

Bro, Have you ever been to Ville Platte, Opelousas, Bunkie, Eunice, Mamou, or Lecompte?
Those towns make Hammond look like Beverly Hills.

Hammond is one of the few cities in LA that's renowned for something. New Orleans is the birthplace of jazz. Baton Rouge is the home of the LSU Tigers. Hammond is world famous for their egg industry.
What? You've never heard of Hammond eggs?

quote:Not my style of BBQ, but it's not that bad. I used to spend summers with my grandfather and he'd drag me to Hi-Ho every single day from 2-5. He'd meet a group of guys up there to shoot the shite and drink a few beer. There used to be about 10 of them who went every day. Now there's only 2 left, my grandpa and another fella, both in their early 90's. These days they only meet on Saturdays and they now drink a Coke instead of Bud Light. I dreaded those days as a kid, but I'd give anything to relive them. It's sad to see something like that end.

Ville Platte

Bunkie, Eunice, Mamou

Opelousas

Lecompte
All better than Hammond. Try again.

Anyone who actually thinks fricking Hi-Ho is the best food in Hammond needs to get out more often.

Alexandria, Lafayette, Monroe, Lake Charles,... does Tiger Stadium on a game day count?

I bet if you started a "best cities in the state" thread, a lot of the same places would be named.
Ferriday, baker, bastrop, all come to mind for me as worst. I travel the state a lot but I'm sure there are some even worse than those, but you really need to put a population minimum on this to have accurate comparisons.

quote:You just describe every town and city in most of the country, especially the South.
I cannot tell if the majority of women are pregnant or just fat and the ones that are a healthy weight have a case of meth mouth so bad, it makes Derrick Henry look like he should be in a Colgate commercial. The driving here is awful. Wether it be the 18 year old baw riding your arse In his camero or the 150 year old black man going about 10 mps at all times. The other day I was going to lunch and stuck behind this idiot that had me going, "is this person retarded?"
I was just in Nashville this weekend, which is one of the most celebrated cities on TD. Everything in the quote is what I experienced there. There are many redeeming qualities in Nashville, though, 2nd Avenue specifically. .

Worrying about what is/isn't trashy is ridiculous, weak, and stupid.
Trashy, also.
