We are living in the age of non-compete agreements. Fewer Jeanne Burns' bouncing from station to station.

I don't think it is anomaly. Unless one wants to move up to network news, once one has a good job in a place they like that pays well, why move around?
Houston KHOU has a weatherman Mario Gomez who had his last weathercast last night, he had been there over three decades and is only leaving because he was offered a massive buyout.

Seems all the decent looking female reporters leave here for other markets

OKC seems to have multiple generations of TV personalities stay their entire career similar to Mississippi River tug captains...

I heard the latest book shows 4 behind 8 on the news.
Kind of a shocker.

Still doing commercials, I guess?

If Donna Britt can keep her job it proves just how entrenched the stations are.

Couldn't tell ya. I haven't watched local news in over 10 years.

, Jacques Doucet
Jacques Doucet is a great guy. Went to Middle School with him in Milton, LA (about 60 mins from BR, just south of Lafayette). Does a ton for Louisiana Military Families with his RED ROCK AND BLuE events.
I would imagine he is at his dream job. He has wanted to be a sportscaster since he was old enough to play sports and covering LSU is his dream gig.
Baton Rouge is lucky to have a guy that stays out of trouble and gives back so much to the community.

Can't we all pitch in and buy Donna Britt an apt with a real hairdresser? She's had a jacked up doo for 25 years.

for their entire career?
e.g. Donna Britt, Pat Shingleton, John Pastorek, Steve Schneider, Jacques Doucet, etc...
It's the same anchors for ages now at the same station
lol who gives a frick? It's the #93 market in the nation; it's microscopic. How sad to take pride in being a pseudo-celebrity in that tiny little shite hole.
