the going rate at places with wait lists are $1k minimum. just enrolled our first so we’ve done some
shopping. gets cheaper as they get older and you’ll get a 5% discount or so for each additional kid.

This is the case in Atlanta as well. And you get what you pay for in terms of daycares. If you can afford a good one with an actual curriculum as they get older then do it. The cheaper ones just have your kid sit in front of a tv all day or something similar where they aren't learning and preparing them for school.

Depends on age of kid and quality of place. The major chains will generally be $225-$325 per week for under 2. Infants are at the higher end of that.

$1200 a week? you mean a month?

what exactly does $1200/w buy you as far as daycare goes? A top end Nanny would be cheaper.

$1,400/mo now for 1.5yo inside the loop what we pay. Probably more for infant.

I negotiated paying 6 months in advance for two kids to get discount.

What you need to be looking at now is how strict they are with children in regards to Covid enforcement- do you want your 2yo wearing a mask? Serious thing you’ll have to consider.

We lived in DC when my 1st was born, daycare would have been minimum 1500$ a month at my wife’s job hospital daycare...this was 9 years ago, probably way more now. We moved to Williamsburg, VA and it was about 700$ a month

I’m in Sumner County too. We ought to get a beer and watch the Tigers (no homo). There’s another guy on here who lives in Hendersonville

Jesus Christ, that’s steep. Glad I don’t have kids. Wish I lived in The Woodlands. Considering Cypress around the new year.

People need to do what they need to do but I think it’s so fricked is that women in this country have to go back to work when their children are only 6 weeks old.

I have a five week old and I can’t even begin to fathom allowing a stranger to take care of my baby for most of the day.

I’m very fortunate that we do t have to make that choice but it’s ridiculous that in our country people are forced to.

Babies need to be with their mothers as infants. They’re not even out of the fourth trimester 6 weeks.
