For those that dont know, you PAY to be on a race team. The sponsors are the ones that tip the balance for teams. However, there are still many trust fund baby pit crew members and drivers. Only a few race teams turn a profit. For many, its payment for a hobby.

Is awesome!

Lots of F1 and Indy drivers use it for learning new tracks if they have never been there.

Watching an IndyCar race would be pretty cool, but how many people does that place seat? Looks like the grandstand is pretty small.

That's pretty cool. Glad I'm not the only one that remembers Coach being there.

Turning large fortunes into small fortunes is not how either of those companies roll. No matter how successful you are.

May have to come down for this, NOLA is a blast. Go there for the WERA races sometimes and done a few track days there. Indy races at Barber are always a good time, hope this works out for NOLA too.

I think they could set up those temporary grandstands like they do for Mardi Gras to add on seats as needed. Seems like for big races they have plenty of room to add on seats. If the event has the demand for it, the grandstands could grow. I know Jefferson Parish is looking to get that area of the westbank filled in. The golf Course out there, the track. Really drawing in some events.

Looks like its a week or two before the Zurich. Should do it at the same time to piss off the golfers.

Karts get up to about 40mph and is a blast to ride. If you're a good enough driver, you can run the whole course without lifting off the gas in the turns.

I find it hard to believe anyone could go through the course with the pedal to the metal. I don't use the breaks, but there's no way you can not lift off the gas and not spin out, unless you been practicing Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift.

It is a blast though. I'm a pretty big dude and fit just find. I'll say this, my forearms got a hell of a workout gripping the steering wheel.
