It'll be in Bryce Canyon, UT. I know it'll be tough, but if anyone has any last minute tips, I appreciate it. Maybe around fluid and caloric intake during the race

I would stick to your guns. Whatever got you to this point is what you should use. Changing on race day is a huge no no especially in longer distance races.

trail run?

have you ran a marathon? if so, treat it like that

if not, I suggest walking the uphills, always stop and drink at any aid station, if it is a trail race, I strongly suggest having liquid on you and refilling at each aid station

as for eating during the race, I've never been one to be able to eat a lot, as it does a number on my stomach, but yes, do try to eat

It seems like you should have a solid game plan for this already in place. A 50k is no casual stroll.

If this thread was just to brag that you'll be in Bryce Canyon tomorrow running a 50k, I'll admit I'm a little jealous.

what Salmon said....don't do any drastic changes. Drink and drink often. Don't forget to eat either.

I was hoping you would respond Salmon. It is a trail run.

I've done a road race marathon, but I am worried about the uphills. I've been training a lot on trails, but the uphills kill me.

I have both a camelback that carries 3 liters and hand held water bottles with almost 20 oz each. I can't decide what to use.

There will be three aid stations on the course.

I have been using mainly the goo packets during my training, but I crave something salty all the time.

1. Cut your toe nails as short as possible
2. Get a pair of Injinji socks that are skin tight
3. Lube up early and often
4. Empty your shoes as often as necessary - rocks and sand will turn your shoes into meat grinders
5. 50K isn't really that far so don't drop out no matter what, grind it out

Correct, I'm not looking for anything drastic. They don't specify what kind of food will be at the aid station, so I didn't know if anyone could provide any insight.

When training, I have to carry everything, but if enough will be at the aid stations and they are frequent enough, it would be nice to only carry my water.

Edit: Pretty much just getting the last minute jitters

That's awesome. Opportunities like that making me wish I was in better shape.

Guessing it'll be hot as hell in the Utah deserts once you get going so just stay more hydrated than you think is reasonable
