I am almost there due to health problems. I am having to make that decision right now. I am working but not sure if I will be able to continue. I have an appointment with a pulmonologist soon. I guess I will know what's going to happen after that.

I'd pretty much do exactly what I do now, except that I'd have enough money to pay someone else to take care of the farm whenever I'd like to go on vacation.

This is not a bad idea, if I have to retire I will be living on about two thousand a month so I will be limited to where I can afford to live but Gulf Shores is one of my favorites. I could do it, I just wouldnt be able to live big.

Travel as much as I could afford. Play guitar and work on guitars, I'm a shade tree luthier.

Without a doubt.

Travel the world. There's so much to see. Maybe get a cheap place on some mountainous tropical island.

Spend time doing hobbies I've put on hold for too long. Skydiving certification, pilot license, learn a new language, become a better cook.

Nope.

Well I have a son who is a year and a half so I'd spend a lot of time with him. I would be a pretty shitty example if I wasn't doing something. I'd probably set some type of non profit up and work on that. I'd also live on San Diego and surf everyday for a few hours.

I would purchase a new SUV, then head out on a road trip to every MLB ballpark. How ever long it took, i'd see them all.

I would do a lot of volunteer work in my community, things like taking cancer patients to treatments, working at local food banks, that kind of thing. When not doing that, I would travel some and do other fun activities.

All of us on the OT can retire anytime we want. We just don't choose to.

Wold have no problem with "not working". Spend about half and half in Colorado and the lower Keys. Lots of fishing, hunting and cycling. Actually about two years away realistically.

Right now, my plans for retirement, when it's time, is to move to Colorado. Somewhere close to the mountains. Hopefully, if my wife doesn't hate me by then, buy a enormous, beautiful motor home and travel when and where I want to across the country. I want to be one of those old men dragging the SUV behind a motor home and just drive somewhere.

Hunting, fishing, raising cattle, huge garden, coon dogs, logging, working on trucks

I have PLENTY of hobbies to keep me busy and happy. I'd still be up at 4am every day.
