He wouldn't stop, but when he finally did, the police took him down. He was drunk. He told me as I was outside, "I don't have any marijuana and I am not drunk." I called him an a-hole and said you were going to get someone killed tonight. Police officer thanked me (Ascension Parish) for calling and pursing, but asked me to return to my vehicle, which I did.

Ended up giving an affidavit and then spoke with a State Trooper who lives pretty close to me.
Congrats on having no life, nothing to do, and no one that cares about you if this is what you do while returning from the airport.

I was following directions from the LA SP dispatch.
Just following orders. I hear you, Kamerade.
At least the "drunk" guy knows what you look like and what you drive, Mr. Helper.

I take full responsibility for my own actions. No one else was behind the wheel driving my vehicle. I made a conscious decision to carry on the way that I did. This one is on me.
This guy made those exact same decisions.
Doesn't change the fact that you both put people's lives in danger.

For those who don't like it, tough. I wonder if any of you would like to come and wipe my retarded sister's arse? She's 50, was in a car accident with a drunk driver when she was 3 weeks old. Someone has been wiping her arse for her since then. Think you'd believe it if someone told you that killing someone may not be the worst thing you do when you drive drunk?
Do you understand simple math?
One dangerous drunk driver is bad right?
Adding an additional person driving at unsafe speeds (that's the reason 105 isn't the speed limit) and that makes the roads that much worse.
You can simply call someone in and leave it at that. No reason to put everyone else in danger with your convoluted sense of helping.

You're a good man.
Anyone who has family that travels that stretch of Interstate appreciates what you did.
The fact that you chose to get involved after returning home from a long flight should make it obvious to others that you were not trying to be some kind of vigilante.
The same people in this thread who are critizing your actions are likely the same idiots who drive impaired and put others lives in danger.
Again, I thank you man.

And then what?

I think you should have called it in and let it go at that and not pursued him. You very well could have been hurt or worse.

Good Job Will, I have done the same thing.

How do you know that he was going 110 MPH?
Posted on 3/21/14 at 6:56 am to Will Cover
Is that a LA plate? I assume it is.
I'll keep a lookout to let them know an internet stranger turned them in.

How you know he was drunk? Maybe he was flexing his muscle.
Posted on 3/21/14 at 6:58 am to CaptainsWafer
Yes, it is a Louisiana plate. I blocked the last letter/number out of respect for his privacy.

Yeah dumbass I understand math. I understand that the chances of a drunk driving 105 killing someone like you on the highway are exponentially higher than a sober concerned citizen killing someone.
Your logic dictates that since criminals go around with guns, citizens shouldn't have them also. Idiot.

Agree. No problem with calling it in, that's the right answer. But no way am I putting myself at risk, and possibly others, by trying to follow and keep up with him.

Good job guy. Screw all these other a-holes who are trying their best to give you shite. Its because they are probably drunk drivers on the steady.
Maybe, just maybe, the guy saw you tailing him with hazards and avoided a more negative situation because he saw you and knew he was being watched.

Driving speeds in excess of 100 MPH while on a cell phone is just as dangerous as the guy you were trying to follow.
