But hey, at least you were able to come to the ot lounge and brag about it.

He likely saved at least a couple of lives if not more by speeding up to get a description of the vehicle etc so the troopers would know exactly who to pin

Quit being an arse hole just to be an arse hole.

Considering it was my old track day car with tires rated way above that and I had over 2000 hours of track time in it... I would say I endangered no one.

You are establishing yourself as one if the premier bullshitters here. I guess your track hours were before you ballooned up to 325 lbs?

Just because you have an ignorant way of thinking and disagree with me does not make me an a-hole. Sure lives were saved, but the fact of the matter is he put many other lives in danger by carelessly chasing a drunk driver at over 100 mph. He also stated that the driver was making hand gestures to him while on the road. Obviously neither driver was completely focused on the road while this was going on. Its pretty obvious just by reading the original post in this thread that will cover let his emotions get to him and was just trying to be some sort of badass hero. Why else would he make a bragging post wanting people to tell the guy that he was the one who got the drunk of the road like that? Its amazing that some of you are ok with this type thing.

I have at least a little doubt that your actions saved a lot of lives. I'm not mad at you for doing what you did as others seem to be. But I think the idea that you are a hero and accepting accolades is pretty silly.

I don't consider myself a hero and I didn't come here for accolades. Just simply posting a life event that I experienced last night.

Hope I never come across this type of situation again.

That's cool man. Just going by the exchange above where you "no doubt" saved a lot of lives.

Glad everybody is safe. Have a good day buddy.

I would have called but would not have chased down at a high rate of speed. I just wonder what would have happened if the first car decided to slam on the brakes at 100+ mph? Both cars plow into each other and endanger even more lives?

What's the point of following the guy after you call him in? Citizens arrest or something?

How is adding another 100+ mph driver making the situation any safer?

You dumb or something? Maybe to see if the driver exits a highway. Give the 911 dispatcher some 411.

I helped get this a-hole off the road.

I got his license plate.

If someone knows this a-hole, let him know that I turned him in.

I hit 105 mph during the chase

I just thought, this could have been my wife and two girls on the road tonight or someone's else family. Had to get him off the road.

Had I not been able to keep up and point out the vehicle to the Troopers on the highway, there's no telling what could have happened in Baton Rouge, where more vehicles were sure to be on the road.

I'm tired. Long week, just got home from Dallas. Going to kiss my girls good night and get in bed with my wife and give thanks for what I have in this world.

And what if the OP had wrecked and killed himself while driving over 100mph and left his wife and kids without him ?

While it worked out, that was an extremely stupid thing to do.
