I had the same problem many years ago when my wife and I were newlyweds.

Call the cops, it works.

not sure why this is so tough for people to understand, ask him a couple times and if it continues, call the cops as soon as it starts the next time. Cops can't do shite if they don't witness it so they will need to hear it in order to do anything at all.

I don't give a shite about being a friendly neighbor to a shitty neighbor. I have had to get nasty about some old neighbors that used to park in my yard and under one of my pecan trees due to liability that I didn't want to deal with.

Ensure he is home. Point every speaker you have towards him against the wall with volume near max. Hook them up to a device playing Madonna's Like A Virgin.... on repeat. Then leave. Run errands. Take a few hours, your time really.

Maybe he'll get the point. 1 for 1 using this method.

Now we're talking. shite like this is what I'm looking for. I appreciate that he turns it down when I ask - even if it takes him 30 minutes - but the problem I have is that he continues to do it, as if my family and I have gone deaf since the last time I told him it was too loud.

Is that what his neighbor is doing to him?

Just be glad your neighbor isn't playing the fake stuff.

Blast music that he hates each time he does it. He'll get the message.

It is 2017. The way we handle interpersonal issues now is to make what we want known. If he does not comply, you are forced to go to his employer and have him fired.

Once he is fired he will be unable to pay his rent and have to move on. Problem solved.

Each time after today, go flip the disconnect at his condensing unit outside around 11 pm. No naps = hot nights.

I used that strategy in college when I lived in TL. My cultured neighbors always turned their shite down after I played the oldest country or heaviest metal I could find really loud.

Nor is it this guy's God given right to force everyone else to hear someone blaring music all the time. You can enjoy listening to music without disturbing everyone around you. At that point if you are made aware of the fact that you are disturbing people around you and you keep doing it, you are an a-hole.

Aim your speakers at the shared wall.

Put on music that is opposite of his taste.

CRANK IT UP...ALL THE WAY!!!

Posted by poops_at_parties online on 4/9/17 at 5:59 pm I have a neighbor who plays his music incredibly loud to the point I can hear the actual lyrics. The bass comes right through the walls to the interior of the house as well. It's not rap or ghetto, just very annoying.

He said he can hear the lyrics on his side of the house. It's not "rap or ghetto" either so it qualifies, no?

The point is he asked his neighbor to stop. His neighbor apparently doesn't care. Asking once should be all it takes. Maybe this will make him understand what it's like pre- cop calling.
