at least yoru first link actually references ben carson

to get into medical school, you have to be pretty smart

to graduate from medical school and get a neurosurgical residency, you have to be elite compared to your medical school peers

so being smart compared to medical school grads means you're pretty fricking smart

What is a common misconception people have about what you do?

That you have to be really smart to be a brain surgeon. I know a lot of people who are not smart, who are just hard workers and got through their residency. So, I think the joke, “Well, hey, it’s not brain surgery” is an understatement. I think it’s something that takes a lot of years to learn and it takes a lot of studying, and you have to keep up with your field, you know, read two or three journals a month, take your courses, go to the meetings go to continuing medical education things. But I don’t really think that you have to be really smart. I mean, I know a lot really smart neurosurgeons but I also know a lot of neurosurgeons who are not real smart. I mean they’re not geniuses.

Funny thing was, I knew EXACTLY what this thread was about before I clicked a link.

8 years ago, anyone that called out what a "community organizer" was would be called a racist by you. Hell, anyone who referred to BHO by his full name was a "racist".

But hey, let's start mocking the accomplishments of a brain surgeon because you don't agree with him politically.

PS - I would NEVER vote for BC, but I'm not arrogant or stupid enough to mock his career. He's a better man than I, or you, will ever be.

PSS - Funny that someone who brags about taking subsidies to garner health insurance would mock anyone.

I am not mocking anybody's achievements, nor have I ever bragged about taking subsidies for my health insurance. I have always paid for my own insurance.

Please try to stick to the subject.

Harder as in requiring more work or more intelligence?

Or whine because their professor doesn't grade on a curve, which is clearly necessary because engineering is the hardest thing in the entire world.

In undergrad.

The neurosurgeons who I have used as expert witnesses are pretty damn smart. They are all still actively engaged in surgery on the spine and the brain.

While I am sure that there are people who are smarter than some neurosurgeons, I doubt that those include any "community organizers".

Engineering requires mastery of advanced mathematics. Are you sure that neurosurgeons must pass an equivalent test of intelligence?

Well, neurosurgeons themselves disagree.

Why don't you just post that you don't think Ben Carson isn't smart?

Smart is kind of relative to the situation.
