How much would it cost to build an indoor basketball court?

I'm talking about the minimalist, undersized gyms that BREC has, minus the activity rooms. A big metal building with tile floors, and some big exhaust fans. No A/C or heater. Full-court, but nothing fancy.

I'd say I want a ballpark estimate, but really I want a basketball court estimate.

Also, which companies around Baton Rouge would be best to call for quotes? I know it depends on the specs and where it is to be huilt, but I'm not even sure if we're talking $150k or $1.5 million.

Bunches. But I don't think $1.5 mil. I would say up to $300k at most.

Nah. It is being explored as part of a business venture.

depending on if you want a good quality court or just a gym floor style court could be a difference between 20k and 100k for a standard sized court. Then a couple hundred for the goals and paint.

Your biggest expense will certainly be your

It'll take me a little while to finish eat but give it time. Bb court is 94 x 52 correct? I would recommend 60 x 120 bldg.

Slab 120x60 = 7200 sf about 90 yds Crete. Allow 10k

Finish at 1.25/yd. Allow 10k.

You can probably find a used airplane hangar 60x120x16-24 high for 50k

What kind of "tile" floor?

Give me costs of bb equip.

Eta: I'd think you could do it pretty good under $125k.

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

i wanted to do one for us this year, so i knocked one out connected to my garage. i wasn't exactly keeping track of the dollars and cents, but i wouldn't be surprised if i ended up spending $35K on a half-court. i used cement-board on two elevations and polygal panels on the roof and two side walls (you can see the panels next to the car photo in the snow). didn't turn out too bad; everyone who comes over and plays on it are kinda impressed. I use fans in the summer and a butane heater in the winter. Also used high output T8 lighting for night play. have our mountain bikes displayed kinda cool like on the tall back wall.

i did a ultra-smooth troweled finish on the floor, so it wouldn't scuff our leather basketballs, and it makes that cool squeaking sounds under our sneakers. ?

You could leave concrete for the floor and install a number of large overhead doors to allow for it to be opened up for cross ventilation.
