Too fooken much regardless of when it was for anyone. It’s truly ridiculous. And women are the supreme suckers when it comes to what they ‘have’ to spend on bc that’s what everyone else had.

$35 at the courthouse 2001

My sister’s was about $7500 in 2010, my brother’s about $8000 also in 2010

My sister in law was about $10,000 in 2003, she was divorced before the wedding was paid off

$1975 all in. No joke. Summer of 2000. My wife is as low maintenance as they come.

Got married in 2002
We took immediate family and a couple of friends to gatlinberg for a wedding in the mountains (there were 12 of us including my wife and i and the mayor who did the ceremony). We covered the cabins for the guests. All-in (including our honeymoon cabin) was $3200. That included my wife's dress which was $180 on ebay.

yep. We rode a horse drawn carriage to the front door. Watched the fireworks then did the receiving line (briefly).

Again, I can’t say enough about the service at the reception. I know it was legit cause everyone compliments it to this day.

Don’t remember, 2010… I pitched in a few K out of my pocket, wasn’t too ridiculous though from what I recall, want to say less than 10k but hell if I know. We didn’t want a big wedding

Put one on this year. About 50k. A lot of that was the open bar and the band and the huge invite list. About 400 people.

It was split a few ways though.

And yes it is ridiculous. But she married well. At the end of the day, probably a cheap investment.

Weddings and burials are two of the biggest scams ever.

Embarrassingly more than your ‘94 wedding.

I’m not even trying to front… it was all regretful.

$450 in Key West (2007). Wish I had done this the first time.

My wife (no pics) found a website that offered a beach ceremony, pictures, and a picnic basket with a bottle of champagne. We took a cruise, got off the boat, got married, and got back on the boat. No idea what she spent on her dress. We made the invitations ourselves.

Not married. I can’t imagine spending tens of thousands of dollars for just one day. Obviously not a baller. Even if someone else was paying for it still stings even thinking about it.

Wedding was about ~25,000 in 2016. My FIL paid for it all except the limos and the rehearsal, which my dad covered.

My wife and I have decent jobs so we never had the “I wish we had the money” thoughts. We had an absolute blast. About 250 people at Southern Oaks.

Honeymoon was about 4-5k which we paid for. We just did Sandals Royal Bahamian.

11k - March 2021. Had a 30k budget from the inlaws, invested the other 19k.

That 19k will probably let me retire 5 years earlier in 30 years.
