About 40k all in.

We went cheap where we could but i wasn't skimping on the alcohol selection or the band.

All in all I would say it was worth it. Only plan to do it once.

2001 ( I think, let me go look at the invitation in the cabinet) $10K. We got married in Maria Garetti church and had the reception at Southern Oaks.

20 years later and I still have people say that was the nicest, most enjoyable, best serviced reception they’ve ever attended. Southern Oaks did a great
Job.

2009, don't know. Pretty cheap though.

Wife and I originally planned to get married in Vegas just the 2 of us, had the flight booked but not the marriage spot.

Her mother freaked and wanted to see her daughter get married so she offered to pay for and essentially plan the entire thing. I'm not picky and really didn't care especially if I didn't have to pay for it so we let them.

Used the Vegas flight for the honeymoon.

$12k in 2015. Got us a old plantation venue right off Highland, good food, DJ, gambino wedding cake, and open bar with liquor. I think it was under new management so they may have had lower rates to get started back up, but for 100 people I think we came in pretty good.

I’ve always considered them to be the best reception facility in the Nola area in regards to value.

30K in 2009

Father-in-law offered a 5K wedding and 25K in cash to get us started, but the wife was having none of it. She wanted her dream wedding and reception. The actual ceremony was only about a grand and tipping the pastor. The rest was spent on our reception, photographers, etc.

That's where mine was in 1994. We had gone to a wedding there and fell in love (food mostly) w/event place. People still talk about it.

...that and there were surprise fireworks over Lake, and we all though gun shots. The East you know...

Totally hear you

As a dude who had a cheap as frick wedding, 30K seems about the reasonable limit for one unless you or you’re family is loaded

About $15k in 2016. Destination wedding with about 40 closest family and friends. We had a blast.

2008 20 grand in NJ at a venue with views of the statue of liberty and NYC skyline.
We paid for it ourselves, it pays to have a wife in the convention/hospitality business to keep coats down

Mine and my wife’s families are both OT poor. I think our wedding cost 12-14k in 2014.

Honeymoon in St Lucia for 6 days was another ~$5500, best I can remember. I paid for that. Worth every penny. That place is awesome.

Whatever the marriage certificate cost. Her putting up with my shite since 2004? Well, that’s priceless.

The 20th anniversary will cost me a dime or nickel.

Cost plenty, but COVID restrictions at the venue probably saved about 25K.
