Area between Florida and Old Hammond.

Already seeing bars on windows. That's usually the first stage.

Next step is tables/chairs and/or sofas on the lawn.

Are we in the closing months for productive citizens in that area?

Why stop at Sherwood. How about the entire city is going full ghetto?

That’s south Sherwood. Are you saying north Sherwood isn’t?

Just saw a shirtless democrat walking a pit bull. Sagging basketball shorts and socks with flip flops.

Guess that's it, then

I live in this area, right off Flannery and Goodwood.

It's pretty much already there. It used to be a safe neighborhood when I was little, but now the ghetto of North BR has expanded across Florida into our part of Sherwood Forest. You never heard gunshots around here 15 years ago, now it's multiple times a week. Once it's dark, you stay inside.

Once I get my Masters degree, my parents are gonna retire and sell the house while it's still worth decent value. The Section 8 apartments have taken their toll on property values here. Other parts of Sherwood aren't as bad yet, but it'll get there soon unless something drastic changes.

This actually ties in very well to the death of St. Louis King of France, where I went to school as a kid. The white middle class families like us are dying off or leaving this area in droves and not coming back. There's not much any of us can do about it.

Florida to Old Hammond is S. Sherwood too. North Sherwood is a given. It's been ghetto for 20 years

I just heard a radio commercial, something about how more and more people are choosing to call BR home. Laughed my arse off.

I noticed while watching coverage of Puerto Rico last night how in the "nicer neighborhoods" the structures still standing had barred windows.

Central is next. It has about another 5-10 years before it goes to crap. Starting to turn that way already.

North Sherwood Forest has been ghetto and white trash since the mid-90s.

The rest of Sherwood Forest is catching up.

And Course Boulevard isn't too far behind.

My grandparents moved off sherwood when it was new and nice. That was circa 1965.

My mom went to brodmore high school and she had a black friend (one of the few blacks enrolled).

Wow. Things change
