Didn't care as much as you do trying to prove your intelligence on the internets.

It's not working

The app allows an input of destination for this reason.

You can't expect an uber driver to know every destination in the city.

What part of town? Downtown and midtown were nuts this weekend with Garth in town, the Yankees in town, amd the gay pride parade.

You didn't care?

You posted on a message board about your bad experience days after it happened.

The first step is acceptance.

Doesn't enter destination in app. Expects driver to know. Drives in circle for 25 minutes. Blames driver. Posts on Internet days later.

But intelligent and doesn't care.

Jeff parish is so corrupt. Far more than Orleans and always has been.
Been shaking down businesses for decades.

This is where the anti-regulation crowd should focus: regulation for economic protectionism.

I was downtown, yes we were in the middle of the gay parade.
I had no experience with Uber and didn't know my way around downtown Houston either. After I got the email mapping out my drive with Uber, I chuckled.

Gotcha. There were road closures everywhere. Can't expect a normal experience for special events in a big city

No doubt, on the way there, we got detoured all over downtown because of street closures. Can't blame it on the GPS, but it Definately doesnt help not knowing the city.

Sounds like Jefferson parish doesn't want people driving without any gaps in insurance coverage. Can't really hate on that. No insurance company in this state is offering coverage for livery/rideshare purposes right now, but it's offered in other states.

I'm in Dallas and Uber is half the price as a cab and there's a driver on every corner. Plus on average I would say the drivers are a lot less pedophilish as most cab drivers.

Guess Metry cab and whoever else must be putting up a fight. In all honesty though, I've found JP caps to be a lot more reliable than Nola.

I was in Miami and I was using Uber to head back to the Fort Lauderdale Airport.

It was the Uber driver's 2nd day and he was using his GPS but the destination pin was in the middle of an airport runway. The directions had him go to the wrong side of the airport by the package carrier offices.

I helped him navigate to the terminals, about 2 minutes away. Some would call it a bad experience, but it was still much cheaper than a cab ride: Downtown Miami to FLL Airport for $32.

I've been saying this for a while now.

This is why Jefferson Parish is better than Orleans.

But does the majority of the council pronounce it "Uba" as they lament the lack of kickback potential.

Uber is legal in NOLA and BR. JP is bigger than either. Why is it taking so long for them to draft legislation on this?

Think of the time it would take to collect and enforce a kickback scheme across the body of part time Uber drivers. Any other contract, there's one company or an organizational front like a union. Fear not, bright minds will be working diligently to create an appropriate model.

Nah bro. You are an idiot for assuming he was making a generic statement based on one experience, when he clearly was not. Move along.
