Was a good friend of mine as well. Eric actually told me on Wednesday night about how pumped he was to finally be turning 21 in two weeks. Just a terrible situation. I know it's such a cliche thing to say how great of a guy someone is after they pass, pretty much any person who spent more than a few days around him would say he was one of the most selfless people they had ever met. He's going to be deeply missed by a lot of people.

My prayers are with his friends and family.

This thread has the potential to be the most EPIC of all threads if this Scion turns out to be the actual hit and run car.

Regardless you hate to hear some mess like this.

It has potential to be good, but not the most epic. Hit and run is small time for the OT. They've fried bigger fish, no offense to the gentleman who was killed. Sad story.

if it holds up it would just be amazing because of the quickness of the response.

I mean the Lafayette Biker story was crazy, but it took forever before Adamlsu (i think) broke the info.

I'd still admit that was the best thread the OT has produced

OP, what color hair did your friend have? The hair in the close up looks light/medium brown. Looks too long to be deer hair (but I'm not a hunter). Could possibly be dog hair, but this is pure speculation on my part.

ETA: Also, for those who knew him, my condolences to you, his friends and most certainly his family. Also sad to hear he was 2 weeks away from his 21st birthday.

Considering the damage to that windshield and the size/weight of a rukus, probably safe to assume the bike went up into the windshield too

Where the hell is the video from the intersection traffic light poles? And what if the perp, lets say the asian in the scion, stopped after the accident, went to a payphone close by and reported seeing this accident. When the police asked her what type of car she saw, the first car passing by was a 300. Just saying.

Hit and Run Kills Local LSU student Sorry about your friend. I actually just submitted a tip to crime stoppers about a suspicious car that was next to me at a light. It was maroon, front end damage, and windshield completely smashed in. I even took pics of the car, it drove straight to an auto glass place across the street from my office. I don't know if crime stoppers is effective, I have no idea but that's who the wafb article said to contact. Throw up your email address real quick if you want and I'll be glad to send the pics to you and give you more info. Again, sorry about your friend.

Good job brother! This is why I love the OT.

This has been mentioned several times in this thread. I honestly do not know but my understanding of the red light ticket thing, is that the cameras are activated when a car runs through a light and it's simply a still photo. Like I said, I could be wrong but if that's the case and the light was green, or had just turned green then there would be no reason for the camera to activate and do what it's designed to do

similar story with windshield damage pics below. A good friend of mine lost his 37 yr old brother in February due to a hit n run, bicycle accident in Huntington Beach, CA.

Drunk driver drove off and was caught several miles away in a Walmart parking lot.

sure hope both guilty parties are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law
